Terry Hanson has over thirty years of experience in the field of Sports Management and has been a resident of Charlotte North Carolina since 1990 when he joined Raycom, Inc. as President of the Raycom Management Group. Since 1994 he has owned and operated Hanson Enterprises - a Charlotte-based Sports and Entertainment firm. His clients include, ESPN, noted Sports author - John Feinstein, The John Boy & Billy Radio Network, Capital Sports, the NAIA, World Sports Enterprises, and he is a consultant and part time radio personality on Charlotte's All Sports Radio Station WFNZ.
Prior to 1990, Hanson was the Vice President of Communications and Broadcasting at the PGA Tour in Ponte Vedra, Florida and was the President of PGA Tour Productions. In these roles, he managed all public relations activities for all three PGA Tours, Negotiated all major network and cable television contract and successfully launched "Inside the PGA Tour" and "Inside the PGA Senior Tour" as seen today on ESPN. He held that post from 1984 until his move to Charlotte.
Hanson began his career as a college coach in soccer and baseball in the Midwest and earned the top Honor of NAIA Collegiate Soccer Coach of the Year in 1974. While coaching, he also scouted for two professional baseball teams.
