PERSONAL INFORMATION
- Born February 10, 1986 in Chonnan, Korea
- Started playing golf at the age of 8 and credits her parents as the people most influencing her career
- Enjoys shopping, listening to music, and watching movies in her spare time
PROFESSIONAL CAREER (2000-PRESENT)
- Only 14 years old, Seon Hwa made the decision to turn professional, the youngest female ever in South Korea
- In 2001 became the youngest ever winner at the McSquare Championship on the KLPGA Tour
- Won the 2003 Himart Championship and finished 3rd on the 2003 KLPGA Money List
- Made the jump to the Futures Tour and recorded 18 Top Ten finishes over the 2004 and 2005 seasons
- Won the 2005 Albany Futures Pro Golf Classic and the 2005 Hite Championship (KLPGA)
- Earned exempt status for the 2006 LPGA season by finishing 1st on the 2005 Futures Tour Money List
- Ran away with the 2006 Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year, besting the 2nd place finisher by more than 200 points
- Recorded 7 Top Ten finishes, including a win at the ShopRite Classic and 3 runner-up finishes
- Ended her rookie season 12th on the LPGA Money List with over $915,000 in winnings
- Seon Hwa makes up for her lack driving distance by ranking 9th in driving accuracy (78.7 %), 4th in birdies (346), and 2nd in putts per GIR (1.75)
