
Sara Hallock Sanders was the 1994 San Diego City Amateur champion and participated in the 1995 and 1996 U.S. Women's Amateur golf. Sanders was a two-time All-American at Stanford University for field hockey and was a walk-on for the golf team.
She turned professional in 1996 and was a member of the Futures and Players West Tours in 1996-1997. Hallock Sanders qualified for the Tour on her second attempt.second attempt.
In 2001, Sara tied her career-low score of 66 during the opening round of the Chick-fil-A Charity Championship hosted by Nancy Lopez, where she finished tied for sixth.
In 2000, she finished in the top 15 three times, including a season-best 10th place at the Jamie Farr Kroger Classic. She carded a season-low 67 during the third round of the Chick-fil-A Charity Championship hosted by Nancy Lopez, where she tied for 12th, and during first round of the First Union Betsy King Classic, where she tied for 15th. In addition, Sara also recorded her second career hole-in-one during the second round of the Welch's/Circle K Championship.
Sara credits her father, husband Drew and golf instructor Laird Small as the individuals most influencing her career. Her hobbies include watching movies, football, field hockey (playing and coaching) and reading books.
