While Robert can currently be found as a lead-analyst and on-course commentator for Senior PGA Tour broadcasts on CNBC-TV, he can only do this as well as he does because of his first-hand experience on the tour. He has covered many PGA and Senior PGA Tour events, and served as a valuable member of both the ESPN and CNBC. His extensive knowledge of the sport, as well as his notable easy-going personality and unique sense of humor, makes him a perfect candidate for TV commentary or special events.
While attending Wake Forest University, Robert was an All-Atlantic Coast Conference member from 1978-1981.
Wrenn began his professional career in 1981 and played 308 career tour events in his sixteen years as a PGA Tour professional. Over his career he has accumulated five wins including the 1981 Trans-Mississippi Amateur, the 1983 Virginia State Open, the 1983 Indonesian Open and his first PGA Tour victory at the 1987 Buick Open.
During the Buick Open, he finished just one stroke short of the all-time record for most shots under par in a 72-hole tournament.
In his leisure time, Robert enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons in his hometown of Richmond Virginia, or indulging in his other interests of reading and golf course design.
