Robert Baker is a master golf instructor and owner of Baker Golf, Inc. and Robert Baker Golf Academies. He has taught five professional golfers who have been ranked No. 1 in the world: Greg Norman, Seve Ballesteros, Nick Faldo, Nick Price, and Ernie Els. His innovative teaching style and charismatic personality have attracted several celebrities, including actors Michael Douglas and Sylvester Stallone, NBA star Penny Hardaway, musician Stephen Stills, and, in his native South Africa, former President F.W. De Klerk.

Baker works with some of the world's best players during more than 30 tournaments each year, keeping up with the latest golf trends and techniques. He recently developed a teaching methodology called Logical Golf. This simple and visual form of instruction is incorporated into the highly effective training programs operated by Robert Baker Golf Academies worldwide.

Baker writes for several golf publications, including GOLF Magazine, Golf World UK, Asian Golf Monthly, Choice Japan, and Golf Digest Japan, and has been featured on the front cover of GOLF Magazine.

Robert was one of South Africa's top amateur golfers when he accepted a golf scholarship to the University of Texas in 1982, giving up his medical school studies. After two years, he transferred to Southwest Texas State University to play golf and complete his degree in business administration.

Upon graduation, Robert returned to South Africa to play professional golf on the South African Tour.While on tour, Baker became fascinated with creating the perfect golf swing ? a desire that led him to two of the world's finest golf teachers, Chuck Cook and David Leadbetter. Cook tutored Baker in the art of teaching for a year before Leadbetter secured his teaching services for five years at the David Leadbetter Golf Academy. He has been the director of instruction at the David Leadbetter Golf Academy in Austria, and has traveled exclusively throughout Europe and Africa, training other instructors and conducting clinics.
