Peter Lipsey has been a full-time comedian for more than 13 years. He discovered his talent for sharp humor while working part-time as a bartender at a club that had "open mic" competitions.
Included in his training for his current career are the experiences he had earning his journalism degree from Drake University, and the many positions he has held writing for radio stations, magazines and an advertising agency.
Peter's audience enjoys his intelligent, literate, sharp wit. His delivery comes right out of the old school: premise, setup and punch line.
Using his background in writing, Peter has found many avenues to pursue while making people laugh, among them is screenwriter. In fact, Peter and his writing partners have completed several screenplays.
Peter performs mainly for corporate and college clients and occasionally comedy clubs in the Mid-West.
Peter lives in Illinois, in a suburb just north of Chicago with his wife and children.
