
Mhairi McKay earned All-American honors from 1994-1997 as a competitor on the Stanford University Golf Team. In 1992 and 1993 she won back-to-back British Girls Championships and was a member of the Curtis Cup in 1994 and 1996 before gaining professional status in 1997 on her first attempt. The same year that McKay turned professional, she became the first women ever to ace the 16th hole at Cypress Point.
During the 2001 season McKay tied for second at both the LPGA Corning Classic and the First Union Betsy King Classic and posted a career-low score of 63 during the second round of the Wendy's Championship. In 2002 Mhairi recorded a total of seven top-10 finishes, including a tie for second at the Kellogg-Keebler Classic, finished sixth at the U.S. Women's Open and crossed the $1 million mark in career earnings.
Mhairi began playing golf at the age of 4 and acknowledges her parents, Golf Coach Tim Baldwin, Bob and Gregor Jamieson in addition to her current coach as the individuals most influencing her career.
