
In 1996 Kristen Samp won the North and South Amateur Championship and was the first player from the University of Missouri to qualify for the NCAA Championship as an individual. In 1997 she turned professional and began competing on the Futures Tour where she had seven Top 10 finishes.
In 2002 Kristen made 16 of 17 cuts and in 2003 tied for 49th at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn a non-exempt status for the 2004 season. The same year, she returned to the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament, where she tied for 20th to earn exempt status for the 2005 season.
Kristen began playing golf at the age of 9 and recognizes her family, Tom Loyd, Craig Shankland and Dr. Alex Cohen as the individuals most influencing her career.
