In 1994 Ken released We Are the Beloved, a book about his spiritual journey, and Three Keys to Empowerment (1999) with Alan Randolph and John Carlos, Managing by Values (1997) with Michael O'Connor, and Mission Possible: Creating a World Class Organization (1997) with Terry Waghorn. Gung Ho!, (1998) coauthored with Sheldon Bowles, has been on best seller charts since it release. Ken's latest book leadership by the book, coauthored with Bill Hybels and Phil Hodges is sure to make many best-seller lists.
Blanchard is chief spiritual officer of The Ken Blanchard Companies, Inc., a full-service, global management training a consulting company that he and his wife, Dr. Marjorie Blanchard, founded in 1979 in San Diego, California. His also visiting lecturer at his alma mater, Cornell University where he is a trustee emeritus of the Board of Trustees. Ken is Co-Founder of The Center For Faith Walk Leadership that is dedicated to help leaders walk their talk in the marketplace.
Dr. Blanchard has received several awards and honors for his contributions in the field of management, leadership, and speaking. In 1991 the National Speakers Association awarded him its highest honor, the "Council of Peers Awards of Excellence." In 1992 Dr. Blanchard was inducted into the HRD Hall of Fame by Training magazine and Lakewood Conferences, and he also received the 1992 Golden Gavel Award form Toastmasters International. In 1996, Ken received the distinguished Contribution to Human Resource Development Award from the American Society of Training and Development.
