- Started playing golf at the age of 13 and credits her father as the person most influencing her career

AMATEUR GOLF EXPERIENCE
- The top ranked amateur in South Korea
- Won the 1997 Korea Women's Open and the 1998 Korea Women's Amateur
- Member of the 1998 World Amateur Championship Team, where she placed 4th overall
- Member of the 1997-1998 Korea Women's National Team
LPGA GOLF EXPERIENCE (2000-PRESENT)
- In 2005, was a Rolex First-Time Winner at the Weetabix Women's British Open, one of the LPGA's four majors
- Tied for first w/ Annika Sorenstam by recording 15 Top-Ten finishes during 2005
- In 2005, she led the LPGA Tour in total birdies with 331 and ranked 2nd with 54.8% of her rounds being under par
- Crossed the $1 Million mark in season earnings and the $2 Million mark in career earning during 2005
- Currently ranks 45th on the LPGA Career Money List ($2,839,422) and is only 25 years old
- Ended the 2004 season ranked 12th on the LPGA Money List and followed that up by ranking 5th on the 2005 LPGA Money List
- Has recorded 38 Top-Ten finishes in her career
- In 2003, best finish was 6th at the BMO Canadian Open
- Lost in a two-hole playoff to Mi Hyun Kim during 2000 Safeway LPGA Golf Championship to finish second
