
Jackie Gallagher-Smith has been a LPGA Tour player since 1993 and became a Rolex First-Time Winner at the 1999 Giant Eagle LPGA Classic, where she posted a career-best score of 65 during the final round. Gallagher-Smith comes from a family rich in golfing tradition. Father Jim Sr. has been a professional for 39 years and her brothers, Jim and Jeff Gallagher, play on the PGA Tour. She recorded two holes-in-one: second rounds of both the Standard Register PING and the AFLAC Champions Presented by Southern Living.
Ms. Gallagher-Smith started playing golf when she was five and was the 1983 and 1985 Indiana State Junior champion. She was named 1989 NCAA All-American while a member of the Louisiana State University golf team.
In 2000, Jackie tied for fourth at the Japan Airlines Big Apple Classic, and carded her season-low round of 66 during the first round of the ShopRite LPGA Classic.
In 2001, Jackie tied for fifth at the Electrolux USA Championship hosted by Vince Gill and Amy Grant. She also placed fifth at The Office Depot in Miami, and tied for sixth at the Evian Masters.
Prior to joining the LPGA Tour, she competed on the Futures Golf Tour, Asian Tour and the Central Florida Challenge mini-tour. She captured three tournament titles while competing on the Futures Tour.
Jackie credits her parents, brothers Jim and Jeff, husband Eddie and teacher Steve Bosdosh as the individuals most influencing her career.
