PORTMARNOCK HOTEL

| Description: |
Originally built as a home for the Jameson family, the famous whiskey distillers, Portmarnock sits atop a Bernard Langer-designed golf course (not featured, but definitely worth a play if you're staying here) with fantastic views of the island of Lambay. You'll be able to hear the waves crashing against the beach when you arise, and are only 11 miles from the center of Dublin. The rooms are generously appointed, and the hotel is a great place for a corporate outing. A member of the Summit Hotel group. |

Portmarnock |
| Description: |
In his fine book The Confidential Guide to Golf Courses, Tom Doak favorably compares the links at Portmarnock to the championship course at Muirfield in Scotland. Not bad advertising for our favorite course in the Dublin area. This championship track has hosted the Walker Cup, the European Masters and the Irish Open, among others. The names of past champions include O'Connor, Palmer and Snead. All of that for a course that, in the past, was only accessible at low tide! The club now offers 27 holes. |

Royal Dublin |
| Description: |
Known as Dollymount by the locals, Irish "Athlete of the Millennium" Christy O'Connor was actually the club professional at Royal Dublin for many years. A truly quirky links course, we find that our guests' opinion of this layout parallels reactions to Prestwick. Some walk away scratching their head, some cursing the design but most recognizing its place in the history of links golf. |

Druids Glen |
| Description: |
Designed in 1995, Druids Glen has already played host to Murphy's Irish Open and was named European Golf Course of the Year in 2000. Not bad for a relatively young layout that lies amidst some of the best courses Ireland. A parkland course with plenty of water, Druids Glen is the site of Sergio Garcia's first professional victory. Although we typically do not recommend parkland courses for our North American clients, Druids Glen, like Gleneagles in Scotland, is an exception. |

K Club |
| Description: |
An Arnold Palmer resort course, the Kildare Country Club will host 2005 Ryder Cup, the first time this prestigious event will be held on Irish soil (don't forget, The Links Golf Group will provide individual packages and corporate hospitality to this tournament). The club has also hosted the Smurfit European Championship since 1995. Aside from the reputation it has gained as a tournament host, the K Club is well worth a visit for anyone making the long trip overseas. |
