Biographical Information

Dr. Graham is now the leading sport psychologist working with Tour level players, based on the number of active clients on the Tour. She has over 200 clients on the PGA, Sr. PGA, LPGA, and Nike Tours.

GolfPsych was developed by Dr. Graham and is based on facts, not anecdotes. This mental game system is based on our scientifically conducted studies of the Pros. The only scientifically conducted studies of the Pro's personalities that has been done.

GolfPsych is Tour Proven. GolfPsych is the culmination of the past ten years of work work with the Pros. Dr. Graham is the only psychologist working full time with the Tour players. She is a counseling psychologist, licensed in Texas and California.

Growing up as an athlete, Dr. Graham's desire to work in a sports related field preceded her interest in psychology. Before completing her Ph.D. in counseling, she began merging her two interests by studying personalities of champion professional golfers as part of her dissertation requirements. She furthered the process by completing her internship under a clinical psychologist and former professional athlete, Dr. Richard Lister, in Costa Mesa, CA.

Her ensuing 15 years of private practice have progressively become more sport oriented, leading to full time work with professional golfers and their families.

"Through my years of working with various individual sports, golf stands out as on of the most demanding MENTALLY. There are many reasons for this, one of which involves the regulation of thoughts and focus for four plus consecutive hours."

"One of the greatest mental challenges golfers face is that they cannot perfect the game physically. This leaves them very vulnerable mentally, particularly if they tend to be a perfectionist, have a fragile self-esteem, or if they are accustomed to being in control or getting what they want with hard work. Unless a golfer develops a strong mental game, these tendencies can make golf a torturous experience."

Dr. Graham co-authored and published "The Eight Traits of Champion Golfers" through Simon and Schuster Publishers.
