Biographical Information

Billy Kratzert turned pro in 1974 after attending the University of Georgia. Prior to the Tour, he was a 1973 and 1974 All-American and was inducted into the Indiana Golf Hall of Fame in 1993. He is currently a golf commentator for CBS, ESPN, TNT and the PGA Tour Radio Network.

During his years on the Tour, he won 4 tournaments including the 1976 Walt Disney World National Team Champion, 1977 Sammy Davis Jr. Greater Hartford Open, 1980 Greater Milwaukee Open and 1984 Pensacola Open. From 1977-1980, his official earnings totaled $600,000 top 12 on the Official Money List for 3 of the 4 years. Mr. Kratzert still plays 10 15 PGA Tour events each year.
