
Beth Bauer turned pro in 2001 after attending Duke University. Her best showing on the 2001 LPGA was a tie for 39th at the First Union Betsy King Classic. However, this up and comer had great success on the SBC Futures Tour in 2001. Her victories there include the New York Newspaper Company Classic, California Futures Classic, Colorado Women's Futures Classic and the Aurora Health Care SBC Futures Charity Golf Classic. In late 2001 she was listed on top of the SBC Futures money list and set a new money winning record.
Bauer has 6 amateur victories to her credit: 2000 south Atlantic Ladies Amateur, 2000 Harder Hall Invitational, 2000 Women's Eastern Amateur, 1999 North/South Women's Amateur, 1998 North/South Women's Amateur and the 1998 Southern Women's Championship.
Her other achievements include being on the 2000 First Team All-American, 2000 ACC Player of the Year, 1999 ACC Co-Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year, Two-time Curtis Cup Team Member and was the 1997 US Girls Junior Champion and Player of the Year.
