
Ben Wright broadcast golf and other sports for CBS TV for 23 years. A native of England now residing in the Carolinas, Wright was educated at Felsted School, Esses, England, and at London University. He became a sportswriter, then golf correspondent of the Daily Dispatch in Manchester and for the Daily Mirror in London before becoming a free lance writer and broadcaster in 1961.
In addition to serving as an announcer for CBS TV Sports since 1972, Wright commentated on golf for the BBC, ITV, and Australian Television. As a member for the CBS golf team Wright has won the EMMY award in 1980-1981.
Ben Wright has been Editor at Large for Links Magazine, and was also featured in the successful golf film, Tin Cup.
