Al Barkow is an Author, he wrote the following books, Golf's Golden Grind, the History of the Tour, Gettin' to the Dance Floor, an Oral History of American Golf, The History of the PGA Tour, The Golden Age of Golf, The Good Sense of Golf, The Venturi Analysis, The Master of Putting, Play Lower Handicap Golf, Getting Set for Golf, Dave Stockton's Putting Secrets.

Al also was an On-Camera Commentator for, Inside the PGA Tour, The Senior PGA Tour Show. He was also the play-by-play broadcaster and anchor of the PGA, Senior PGA and LPGA Tour events for Sportsband, and One-on-One Sports.
